Well known international FMCG company with subsidiary located in Tarragona area.
- Oversee general ledger accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close activities, as well as accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Work with internal departments to collect, analyze, and interpret financial data.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across the UKI and Continental Europe regions to gather financial information and support audit requirements.
- Conduct audits (Group Audit and Statutory Audit) to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory accounting standards in financial reporting.
- Align general ledger practices with budgeting and forecasting objectives.
- Input financial transactions such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis and prepare corresponding reports.
- Perform account analysis to validate journal entries and account balances.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Collect supporting documentation and maintain accurate financial records.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and accounting best practices.
- Assist in designing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.

Requisitos mínimos
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent working experience.
- At least 3-4 years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar.
- Proficient in accounting software (Microsoft D365 preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. With US GAAP significant experience.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Certified Public Accountant or audit experience is a plus.
- Fluent level of English (proficient).
