Media Software Engineer (m/f/d)

A global market leader in Cloud Communications is looking for a Media Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join their growing team of Cloud Engineers in beautiful Barcelona.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering you will help the company develop and improve their Platform as a Service.

Your tasks will include:
•Software development and implementation of new features and strategies to improve media quality and capabilities of the platform;
•Contribute to server and software architectures for real-time media streaming, quality optimization strategies, audio/video archiving, real-time broadcast, related systems engineering and so on;
•Develop approaches to measure, evaluate and improve quality in the platform end-to-end;
•Working on multiple projects cooperating with a global team.

What you should bring:
•Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Media Communications, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar;
•+3 years of experience working on backend software engineering;
•Familiarity with Media Communication software technology;
•Passion for real time communications, media and cloud infrastructure;
•Strong C/C++ or Java coding skills;
•Additional JavaScript and/or Python coding skills is a plus;
•Knowledge in feature development as well as in systems engineering;
•Highly customer-centric and enjoy working on large-scale problems;
•A quality focused work attitude;
•Business fluency in English.
