Senior Accountant - Retail Sector

• Minimum 7 years of experience as accountant in SSC or multinational environments|Experience with ERP systems like SAP, JDE or similar. Fluency in English.

Multinational retail company with their office located in Madrid.

Being part of the Accounting and Reporting Teams based in Madrid and reporting to the Tax and Service Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

• Management of the entire local GAAP accounting cycle, record of notes, record of provisions, analysis of accounts.


• Carrying out the monthly and annual closings (Balance Sheet and P&L Account).


• Preparation and presentation of CCAA.


• Ensure that balance sheet accounts are clean and up to date.


• Monitoring of audits, both external and internal.


• Deal with intercompany operations and consolidation.


• Ensure accuracy of actual costs and follow up on forecasts for all functions.


• Tax accounting and related declarations and payments

• University Degree in Business or Finance.


• The ideal candidate will have minimum 7 years of experience in General Accountant roles in SSC or multinational environments.


• Solid experience working under Spanish GAAP is mandatory.

• Time management skills and be able to prioritize.


• Experience with ERP systems like SAP, JDE or similar, and profeciency in MS Office including Excel.


• Fluency in English.
