- Multinational Aerospace Company|Transforming how satellites are designed, built, and launched
A multinational aerospace company, designer and manufacturer of satellites for low-Earth orbit, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work in the subsystems equipment & payload contributing to the mechanical design, analysis, specification, testing and validation.
- Mechanical design and modelling of electronic space equipment. Preparation of preliminary design with layouts, sketches, testing requirements, materials, processes, and tools, define mechanical interfaces with other mechanical subsystems.
- Develop and maintain mechanical design documentation, manufacturing drawings, interface control drawings, test procedures and tooling (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly)
- Technical Support to AIT activities including fabrication, assembly, integration, and tests.
- Responsible for the design and capability of the system design to meet the technical requirements.
- Support in structural and thermal decisions and engineering trade-offs to find the best conceptual architectures and design.
- Troubleshoot and investigate component anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolution.
- Support for production and testing of satellite structure and the associated hardware.

Requisitos mínimos
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design. Mechanical space subsystems and payload and/or other equivalent applications is a plus. Especially regarding Reaction Wheels.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Higher degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using CAD software. (Inventor is preferred).
- Experience using PDM and PLM software is a plus
- Knowledge in GDIT is a plus.
- Technical skills in FEM computer methods using standard analytical tools and classical structural analysis methods is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with other engineers.
- Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
- Fluent English written and verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will be innovative, creative, and challenge the status quo. He or she will work well in teams while also having to work assignments autonomously. Some travel will be required (to US or elsewhere) with some extended travel requirements at times.
