We are looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager of Social Innovation projects to join the Project Management Office, linked to the European/International Post-Award Unit at Fundació Sant Joan de Déu.



The Project Management Office – PMO


The Project management Office – PMO was created in 2019 under the umbrella of the European/International Post-Award Unit. This Unit runs a portfolio of more than 50 projects (mainly from European Commission), 10 of which are coordinated by our institution. The PMO offers support to Principal Investigators (PI) in several areas of scientific and project management, such as project management, scientific coordination, support in ethics and regulatory issues, communication, social innovation, impact management, financial issues and reporting. The mission of the PMO is to accompany the researcher in a professionalized manner by offering support in the areas of scientific and project management. The ultimate goal is that the projects are implemented with the quality standards required by our institution and funding agencies, fulfilling the expectations of the research team and the collaborating entities.



The candidate will be integrated in the PMO and shall be responsible for the effective implementation of the assigned projects, specially dedicated to those tasks related to social innovation activities such as design and implementation of co-creation and participatory activities, monitoring and evaluation during project lifecycle, knowledge valorization, impact evaluation and communication and dissemination.


Main tasks and responsibilities:



  • Get involved with the assigned projects and participate in project management and scientific coordination activities:
    • Coordination of day to day internal work according to work plan (control of quality process, periodic internal meetings and agendas, distribution of work, follow up of deadlines),

    • Providing guidance to project partners (technical orientation, mitigation plan, ethical issues, work plan…), resolution of conflict, orientation of partners toward work plan, guidance of consortium toward objectives, traduce coordinator’s decision making toward actions,

    • Coordination of Work package where SJD is leader, organization of meetings, collecting documents, writing activity reports and deliverables where SJD is responsible,

    • Project quality and risk management (revision of all final document as deliverables, communication, exploitation plan….),

    • Support in the elaboration of the scientific-technical reports to the funding agency,

    • Preparation of agendas and presentations for project meetings and project related committees (advisory board, external experts…) participation in meeting, draft minutes,

    • Elaboration of a Data Management Plan and DPIA. Data management plan follow up. Monitoring of data protection compliance,

    • Monitoring of ethical regulatory process and compliance. Preparing and submitting dossier (protocol, informed consent….) to Ethical Committee when relevant

    • Gantt chart follow up.

    • Interface with stakeholders (participants, schools, city councils, providers, social services, associations, subcontractors…)


  • Get involved with the assigned projects and participate in social innovation activities:
    • Contribute to define the impact strategy (theory of change, impact pathways and impact narratives) to ensure that projects are transformative.

    • Contribute to define and lead the implementation of project’s monitoring and evaluation activities.

    • Design and lead the implementation of co-creation and participatory activities (workshops, terainings, hackatons…).

    • Design and lead knowledge valorization activities with the involvement of relevant stakeholders.

    • Support in the transferability and standardization of outputs (products, processes, learning experiences,…), development of exploitation plan, foster scalability.

    • Contribute to the communication and dissemination strategy of the project.

    • Definition and implementation of capacity building workshops and trainings.

    • Social awareness raising strategy definition and implementation.


  • Support the Pre-Award unit in the process of defining project ideas os challenges using co-creation and participatory activities with relevant stakeholders.




Requisitos mínimos

Requirements:


  • University degree or PhD (highly valuable) preferably in Social Sciences and Humanities.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar position (Project Management Office, Impact Office, Social Innovation, Social Experimentation, Living Lab).

  • Familiarity with EU funded projects such us “EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI)”, “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (CERV)”, “Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)”, “Horizon Europe”, “Erasmus+”).

  • Experience in a position of Project Manager of a Coordinated European Project will be valued.

  • Proven knowledge in monitoring and evaluation design and implementation of social interventions.

  • Deep knowledge of participatory and open innovation methodologies and tools (i.e. co-creation dynamics, design- thinking, living lab approach, storytelling).

  • Deep knowledge on methodological approaches in social sciences (qualitative and participatory approaches, social theory…)

  • Impact-related skills (highly valuable), such as, change management (creating and managing social change), communication (with a wide range of stakeholders), facilitation and negotiation, maintaining partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coaching or mentoring (providing one-to-one support where necessary), and reporting and presenting knowledge.

  • Meet the requirements detailed in section “Personal skills”.

  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing Spanish, Catalan and English.

  • Availability for occasional travel locally and abroad.

Personal skills:


We are calling for candidates with a background in social sciences, with experience in participatory and co-creation processes, knowledge valorization, impact evaluation and project management.


The person we are looking for must be proactive and service-oriented. He/she needs to have demonstrated ability in managing multiple sub-projects simultaneously. Be autonomous and responsible. Interested in continuous improvement, efficiency and quality in the processes. Show strong organization and time management skills, prioritize tasks effectively and respect deadlines. We look for a teamplayer with excellent communication skills.


The person must have competencies related to impact: understand the concepts of impact narrative and theory of change, be able to establish measures to maximize impact, among others.
