You will have primary ownership of IT hardware across the clubs and central offices in both countries (Spain & Portugal).
You will evaluate the current infrastructure in both countries and identify opportunities for standardization across the group, leading to more effective working practices and purchasing power.
The position is a full-time permanent role, reporting to the CIO. The role is based in the Spanish Central Office in Malaga but is a groupwide role so travel to the Portugal Central office in Lisbon will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Review our current productivity suites (G-Suite in Spain and MS Office in Portugal) and run a project to move both countries to the chosen platform
Our offices are currently 50% remote / 50% on location due to COVID; you will review and install best practices for remote working
Manage, drive and lead new IT infrastructure and support projects & initiatives
Plan IT infrastructure requirements based on the current business and capacity to quickly increase scale
Monitor and audit the usage patterns of IT systems in the company
Manage the IT Infrastructure budget and drive down costs where appropriate
Disaster recovery planning with reviews and tests
Troubleshoot IT failures and provide solutions
Diagnose and resolve areas of weakness within existing infrastructure
Work as part of the IT leadership to ensure best practice
Work with 3rd party cyber security specialists to introduce best practice across the group
Own connectivity and telephony across the group
Review the technology stack in our clubs to identify efficiencies of scale and opportunity to improve the customer experience
Own the access control hardware in our clubs
Requisitos mínimos
Experience and technical skills
English high level (C1-C2 similar)
3+ years’ experience in similar roles
Proven experience in managing an infrastructure and support team
Experience across support, infrastructure, and networks
Must have come from a technical background, ideally through a 3rd line technical management route
Deep understanding of virtual and cloud infrastructures
Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure and ability to create reasoned proposals for system change
Ability to formulate budgets in line with the low-cost-high-quality ethos of the company
Good time and finance management skills
Ability to motivate and generate high quality results from the IT team
Effective communication skills and ability
