Cluster Finance Director - Luxury Accommodations - Menorca

Reporting to the CFO and CEO/COO, your main responsibilities will be:

* Ensure strong Financial Management within a robust control environment;
* Have ultimate responsibility for accurate accounting records and provide financial reports for the Hotels and Restaurants;
* Manage the Finance relationship with Operations and Finance at hotel and head office ensuring that an excellent service is provided through quality input;
* Provide focused, innovative and value-adding Management Reporting and Analysis;
* Deliver high quality management information and performance measurement that is accurate and relevant;
* Ensure reporting that incorporates benchmarking, identification and measurement of key performance indicators and use of balanced scorecard.;
* Optimize and develop Systems to improve efficiency and information;
* Ensure training takes place for users; challenge processes to eliminate non-value adding tasks;
* Work with colleagues to ensure that errors are corrected at source and processes amended as required, eliminating rather than correcting errors;
* Lead the Planning and Forecasting process for London and ensure that financial plans are consistent with the strategic objectives;
* Pro-actively support the General Managers and finance team in Hotel strategic planning, focusing on value opportunities;
* Manage the formulation, review and approval process for budgeting within the hotels and restaurants;
* Lead, develop and inspire a high-quality Finance Team;
* Actively plan for succession to develop and replace individuals effectively;
* Develop effectiveness of the Finance function through continuous training and development of the team. Lead and motivate the team to high levels of performance;

Able to work based in Menorca and travel

We are looking for someone with a BA in Finance/Economics, with at least 10 years of experience in Finance, with 3 of them on an Hotel/Accommodations Industry. Good communication skills (verbal/writing) and team worker spirit, previous experience in team management, with the ability to take initiatives and tackle down problems. Good understanding of operations and administration of a hotel, organization and analytical skills. Must possess advanced computer skills (excel, PowerPoint…). Data analytics experience is a plus. technical skill, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements, best practice hotel operations, finance function set up and standard systems, and a balance between a methodical and process-driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.

By the other hand, someone that shows the example and encourage consistent performance standards for himself and others, able to develop and maintain excellent credibility with coworkers and subordinates by demonstrating complete consistency between words and actions, in all aspects of behavior. Effectively identify & anticipate needs and handle challenging situations, positively influence co-workers to accept and execute changes immediately and effectively.

Finally, the knowledge of PMS System (Infor HMS) / POS System (Lightspeed), and Business Accounting with Hospitality Focus (USALI) are both considered a plus. Pre-Opening experience in Hotel/Accommodations is required and a must have.
