Senior Accountant for UK market

• International SSC in Barcelona
• Looking for Senior Accountants with VAT experience preferably for UK market

Our client is a new SSC in Barcelona, for their future development plans we're looking for a Senior Accountant with VAT experience.

• Cashflow monitoring & forecasting


• Principal contact point for the company finance teams


• Provision of data & analysis - routine/ad hoc


• Liaisonon accounting policies and procedures


• Representation of UK in the company finance meetings/calls


• Responsibility for SOX control regime


• HMRC compliance (PAYE, VAT, CT)


• Quarterly Group reporting preparation & submission (HFM)


• Quarterly VAT return preparation & submission


• Principal contact for Bank matters - only temporary for legacy bank accounts


• Managing external and internal audit visits


• Reviewing & responding to audit issues


• Preparation of statutory accounts in partnership with the finance partners


• Collation and presentation of data for UK tax returns in partnership with the finance partners


• Liaison with insurance brokers & HQ insurance team


• Liaison with lawyers on company secretarial returns and statutory filings


• Payroll - supporting administrator to achieve timely and accurate processing

• Min 5-8 years of experience in accountancy
  Bachelors in related field, preferably In finance, accountancy or Business Administration
  English as business language
  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and develop relations at all levels
  Team player in a multi cultural environment with a can-do attitude
  Flexible and able to work under tight deadlines to ensure timely reporting and payment run
  Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
  Participates and promotes a culture based on collaboration, teamwork, accountability, and inclusiveness in the team.
  Motivated to learn, share knowledge with colleagues and participate in ad hoc tasks and projects
  Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  Knowledge of SAP
