SENIOR RESEARCHER RECYCLING/HYDROMETALLURGY

The incorporation of the selected person would be made to the Electrical Storage department of the research center.

The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:

- Management of hydrometallurgical projects and battery recycling
- Management of recycling projects of energy storage systems
- Dissemination of results
- Laboratory management support

To be evaluated (adds points to the final evaluation)
- Experience as Principal Investigator in regional project/ nationals/ Europeans or direct contracting
- Experience as director/a of doctoral/PhD theses
- Experience leading students grade/master projects or equivalent projects of students
- Experience as first author in at least three scientific articles
- Valuable to have published scientific articles related with froth floating or direct recycling
- Other languages, excluding mother tongue, can be valued
- Valuable to have obtained Torres Quevedo, Juan de la Cierva, Ramón y Cajal, MarieCurie or equivalent competitive competition research contracts
- Time of stays in different centers of realization of the Doctoral Thesis

Academic background required:
- Dr. Chemistry / Dr. Chemical Engineering / Dr. Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Valuable:
- Master's degree in chemical processes or similar
- Master in Circular Economy

Professional experience:
- Circular Economy projects/battery recycling/hydrometallurgical extraction or similar minimum 2 years.
- Waste recycling projects or similar at least 2 years.
- Participation in at least 2 European projects (H2020, FP7, etc) or equivalent or equivalent private company experience

Job requirements:
Specific techniques (analytical, software, calculations, prototyping, etc.)
- ICP, AAS, SEM, TEM, DRX

Participation and/or collaboration in R&D&I/business projects:
- Minimum participation in 2 European or national projects or equivalent.

Experience in a Research Center / companies:
- Yes. Minimum stay of 1 year (in total)

Languages:
- Excellent oral and written skills in English

Cross-cutting competences:
- Teamwork
- Communication skills

Willingness to travel and stay abroad
- Yes

Publications: scientific articles (in journals indexed in Web of Science and/or Scopus), theses (PhD and/or master's degree), presentations at congresses, reports, technical reports, technical guides, etc.
- Minimum 10 articles published.
- Minimum participation in 5 congresses
