Mission

The role is positioned within Eurofragance’s R&D team, more specifically in the group focusing on the study and enhancement of fragrance performance. The mission is to generate useful knowledge for fragrance creation to design optimized fragrances with enhanced performance or secondary benefits such as mood modulation or malodor control. This objective will be achieved by understanding the relationship between the physic-chemical nature and composition of fragrances and the sensory, physiological and behavioral responses in consumers. In this mission, both physicochemical parameters and consumer responses need to be collected. The relationship between them will be studied by means of a data-analysis approach. A strong link with internal and external experts on artificial intelligence will be developed, along with a reflection and program development on the use of AI for technical projects in perfumery.

In these missions, collaborative work, also with colleagues in other departments such as perfumery, will be required.

Functions

• Contribute to the strategic orientation of the research program

• Design of experiments to generate information of interest to carry out the mission (optimization of fragrance performance through their composition):

• Carry out an experiments to generate data/knowledge.

Educational background:

• Master in organic/analytical/physical chemistry research

Languages:

• English intermediate


• Spanish alto/nativo

Experience required:

• Have worked in a chemistry research lab for 1 year


• Experience in data analysis applied to chemical problems


• Experience in sensory analysis techniques is a plus


• Experience in working with scientific related tools: bibliography search, scientific databases, data treatment
