Reporting to the Global Head of Accounting, your main responsibilities will be:
Oversee all accounting operations for the Spanish entity, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll;
Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP as required;
Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports;
Lead local audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities;
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines;
Manage preparation and submission of tax filings ensuring compliance with Spanish tax laws and regulations, including transfer pricing implementation and compliance, local VAT regulations and timely filing of VAT returns;
Work with logistics team on compliance with local custom and export/import regulations;
Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations, assisting in the management of banking relationships and financing arrangements;
Develop and maintain robust internal controls, improving systems and work-flows to ensure efficiency and accuracy;
Partner with global finance teams to align accounting processes and reporting standards;
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Spanish entity;
Lead and mentor a small accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
