The University of Navarra (UNAV) is a non-profit private university founded in 1952 based in Pamplona, Spain. It confers 37 official degrees (14 are double degree) and administers 43 master’s programs, including 19 doctoral programs, through 16 faculties and Schools, 2 superior colleges, the IESE Business School and its 5 comprehensive Research Centres: CCUN (Cancer Centre Clínica Universidad de Navarra), BIOMA (Biodiversity and Environment Institute) and DATAI (Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence), ICS (INSTITUTE FOR CULTURE AND SOCIETY and CIN (Centre for Nutrition Research).
UNAV has more than 13.500 students in 7 campuses: Pamplona, San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Munich and Saö Paulo with a wide network of international universities and research centres.
UNAV been awarded with the HR Excellence in Research quality seal (HRS4R) that guarantees the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The purpose of these grants is to promote the consolidation of the professional careers of national and foreign researchers, so that they can develop their careers within the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System (SECTI). They also encourage the creation of permanent positions in the institutions involved and facilitate the start or consolidation of a line of research through the funding of a specific R&D+i project, as well as the adaptation and renovation of facilities and laboratories and the improvement of equipment necessary for its execution.

El Centro de Investigación en Nutrición es un órgano de investigación básica-aplicada de la Universidad de Navarra, adscrito a la Facultad de Farmacia y Nutrición. Realiza una investigación de excelencia en temas relacionados con la Nutrición y la Salud, específicamente con los problemas de obesidad.
Transfiere a la industria, especialmente a la alimentaria y farmacéutica, los resultados de la investigación con el fin de mejorar su productividad y apoyar el desarrollo de nuevos productos alimentarios. Además, ofrece a la industria servicios relacionados con las áreas de nutrición, dietética, y alimentación en general.
El proyecto se encuentra dentro del Área: Nutrición de Precisión en la subárea de estudios de cohortes.
