The person in this position will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including the day-to-day administration of cybersecurity tools and devices, as well as first-level and second-level support for security information and incident management. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Security Operations
    • Participate in the design, implementation and operation of different security solutions in place.
    • Perform system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications, and network security devices, in accordance with the defined policies, standards and procedures of the organization, as well as with industry best practices and vendor guidelines.
    • You will need to be involved in heterogeneous projects in order to assure Security by default principles, giving the most suitable solutions to meet the right balance between business needs and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Security Management
    • Develop and maintain corporate security policy documentation (policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.)
    • Lead actions aimed at improving the cybersecurity culture of the organization.
    • Ensure alignment with Security Master Plan and associated budget.
  • Risk Management
    • Track lessons learned from security incidents and drive the remediation of audit findings.
    • Ensure that security controls are effective.

  2. Supervisar las rondas de inspección y control de las instalaciones. Via BMS si procede.
  3. Controlar el almacén de fungibles, herramientas, etc. de mantenimiento.
  4. Controlar y elaborar, si se requiere, informes periódicos del estado del edificio, instalaciones y equipos.
  5. Asignar actividades específicas al personal de mantenimiento a su cargo.
  6. Controlar y supervisar los controles operacionales del centro (procedimientos de respuesta a emergencias, cumplimientos legales, mantenimiento de registros de equipos de medición).
  7. Controlar y supervisar las empresas externas y/o subcontratadas.
  8. Gestionar el mantenimiento de los equipos de electromedicina, si procede.
  9. Colaborar en obras y reformas.
  10. En el caso de que se requiera, realizar actuaciones de mantenimiento conductivo, preventivo y correctivo
  11. Coordinar la consecución de las acreditaciones en las Auditorias de Calidad, Medio Ambiente y Gestión Energética.
  12. Actualizar todos los procedimientos y registros derivados del proceso de gestión de RRHH, PRL, y los de su proceso.
  13. En general, realizar todas las funciones que le sean encomendadas.

Ground Systems Engineer

The i2cat Foundation is looking for a Ground Systems Engineer to join our Space Communications Research Group.

The SpaceComms area is currently participating in different activities that conform to the New Space Strategy of Catalonia. This strategy aims at promoting the space ecosystem in the catalan region and developing novel technologies that reach the market to boost private and public initiatives. Among the different activities that are planned in the strategy, the research and development ones are key to achieve the strategy goal.

The SpaceComms is conducting different projects in its New Space research programme, centered in pillar technologies: (1) integration of satellite systems in 5G infrastructure to conform NTN; (2) contributions to Software Defined Networks deployments in satellite constellations; and (3) developments of Inter-Satellite Link technologies. The research programme envisions to validate these developed technologies in dedicated CubeSat missions, that can additionally provide novel services to the catalan region.

As a Ground Systems Engineer, you will provide support in the concept, design, development, and technical implementation of the ground infrastructure of the Space Communications department at i2CAT. The ground infrastructure, spread across several locations, will support the department's research activities on one hand, and on the other, assist in the management and operation of the CubeSat missions at i2CAT.

Some responsabilities of the candidate:

  • Participate in the design of the ground segment infrastructure, according to the department's needs and objectives.
  • Assist in the technical development and implementation of the ground infrastructure, ensuring it meets the required quality and standards.
  • Provide support to the Space Comms department's research activities, aiding in the advancement of 5G/6G space communication technologies.
  • Assist in the management of CubeSat missions, ensuring their proper integration and operation within the ground infrastructure.
