Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic management
    • Identify private and public funding opportunities for projects within the company to meet the funding quotas.
    • Identify and generate business opportunities and partnerships through dialogue with companies and public institutions such as universities or research and technology organisations.
  • Tactical management
    • Lead the Innovation Committee
    • Collaborate with the members of the Product team to ensure funded projects are executed correctly.
  • Operational management
    • Innovation Committee: Lead the Innovation Committee meetings; Manage the Innovation Workflow; Coordinate the Innovation Days events.
    • Prospection: Prospect and select the private and public financing mechanisms according to the company's needs; Prospect companies at the regional, national, and European levels to identify those with the greatest potential for transferring technologies; Qualify and filter grants based on their alignment in terms of funding needs, IPR, and legal requirements, among other criteria.
    • Project Management: Manage the complete pipeline of opportunities in a transparent and traceable way for other teams in the company; Drive and manage end-to-end funded projects; Prepare and submit project proposals and contracts; Keep track of the project evolution to ensure it meets the requirements, milestones are achieved, and deliveries are timely and of high quality; Manage closing of projects.
  • External Representation
    • External representation of the center in national and international business and innovation forums.
    • Attend meetings or demos to help achieve leads or opportunities.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Stack Modelling Scientist

KERIONICS is offering an exciting new position opportunity for an ambitious scientist or engineer eager to join a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team of scientists and engineers in the New Product Introduction process and play a key role in developing innovative products for launch.

This role is ideal for someone with a flexible, hands-on approach and a broad skill set, but the most importantly experienced in modelling methods. The candidate will be responsible for Computational Fluid Dynamics and thermal modelling of the stacks for solid oxide electrolyser (SOEC), ensuring that the 3D designs meet required criteria.

To achieve that task, the person is going to be part of the multidisciplinary stack design engineering team where his/her main goal would be to model the physical processes occurring inside the stack. Based on the results of modelling, the person should deliver the feedback for the team about the CFD and thermal parameters at the design stage before proceeding to the design validation in the operational environment. In addition to that, the person is expected to cooperate closely with the testing team and external components suppliers with aim of exchanging feedback about the design improvements.

Responsibilities:

· Take full accountability for the development of CFD and thermal models of Solid Oxide Electrolysis stacks and system components

· Take part in the solid oxide electrolysis stack development, system development and testing activities

· Facilitate technology transfer and provide training to internal colleagues to ensure smooth implementation.

· Take part in establishing and maintaining collaboration with external components suppliers

· Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with safety standards.

· Perform all activities related to the job description to the highest standards of quality and precision.

Other Key Responsibilities:

· Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

· Participate in Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

· Provide support for all engineering divisions of Kerionics including Membrane Electrode Assembly, Stack, Balance of Plant, System.

· Establish strong working relationships with teams at our collaborator’s Centre of Competence and ensure effective information flow between teams.

Fundació Sant Joan de Déu is opening a European Pre-award Manager position, specialized in social innovation projects, to contribute to SJD Social Innova.

SJD SOCIAL INNOVA is a cross-cutting program that promotes and contributes to the generation of transformative social innovation projects in SJD's social and healthcare centres, from the idea and project design to project development and impact.

The person we are looking for will be responsible for assisting project leaders identifying ideas, linking them with funding opportunities, designing impact driven projects and writing competitive proposals (mainly European Comission calls, but not only). The objective of this person is transform ideas or challenges in the social area into winning project proposals, and increase the participation in European projects both as coordinators and partners.

We work mainly with the following calls/programs: “Easy” Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI); “CERV” Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme; ”AMIF” Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund; Horizon Europe Cluster 2 “Culture, Creativity and Inclusive society; and Erasmus+. However, other sources of national and international funding will also be explored when applicable to the identified ideas/projects.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Internal Scouting: Be aware of the activity of the different social innovation stakeholders within the Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem. Have deep knowledge of the interests, ideas, needs, and project portfolio of SJD social innovation, overseeing its alignment with the trends of funding agencies.
  2. External Scouting: Have in-depth knowledge of appropriate funding frameworks for the interests and needs of the centres in social innovation (European, International, National, Regional), and keep up to date. Identify and align capacities and interests with future trends in this field.
  3. Project Application: Promote SJD stakeholders' participation in competitive calls suitable for the identified ideas and provide professional support for the preparation of the proposals:
  • Evaluate the suitability of the project with the topic/call and evaluation criteria.
  • Conceptualize the project, including the design of the theory of change and impact pathway.
  • Design the methodology and structure of the project.
  • Identify the expertise needed and support the creation of the consortium.
  • Write the project proposal.
  1. Entity’s visibility and positioning: participate in forums and initiatives of SJD’s interest to find new opportunities and collaborations.
  2. Capacity Building and Internal collaboration: promote knowledge and skills among project leaders and fostering collaboration among SJD Centres.
