Site Supervisor (Data Center) / Lead Technician – Madrid

We are collaborating with an important international client to hire a Site Supervisor (Data Center) in Madrid. The role will involve managing the installation and supervision of security and automation systems in data center environments.

Job Purpose:

  • Effectively lead and manage the installation site functions, ensuring that business objectives are met and operational excellence is maintained.
  • Provide a practical, cost-effective installation service that aligns with best practices and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Management:
  • Lead and coordinate security engineering and automation projects, ensuring smooth execution with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while measuring performance using appropriate systems and tools.
  • Promote strong Health and Safety management at the site.
  • Control site activities, managing supervisory teams and local service providers.
Department Management:
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of systems, ensuring best practices are followed to optimize costs.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across site teams and departments.
  • Professionally manage the team, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
Financial Accountability:

Requirements:

Skills and Personal Attributes:

Experience and Technical Knowledge:
  • Hands-on experience in security systems and automation, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Education and Certifications:
  • Engineering degree or relevant qualifications related to data centers.
  • IOSH certification is desirable.

Your Tasks

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Security Risk Exceptions Management

    Log and track proposed security risk exceptions in the risk management tool.
    Gather and validate all necessary information from requestors, ensuring completeness and accuracy of required fields.
    Engage and communicate with Team Leads within both the business and Cybersecurity teams.

    Prepare and present detailed risk presentations using the MMS risk template.
    Communicate assessment findings with Risk Owners and coordinate next steps.
    Escalate significant risk acceptance proposals to Vice Presidents and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for review and approval.
    Produce and deliver monthly risk assessment reports to the CISO, including ad-hoc reports as necessary.
    Track and follow up with risk requestors as due dates approach.

     

    • Security controls testing

    Engage in security maturity and Controls testing processes.
    Organize interviews with control owners and document results
    Collect and review the evidence provided by the control owners
    Identify and assign the correct maturity level for each control

    • KPI Management

    Coordinate with KPI owners to gather monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
    Update the KPI Register with newly collected data and ensure the accuracy of the records.
    Identify and highlight KPIs that show concerning trends or are blocked.
    Create and distribute monthly KPI reports to stakeholders, emphasizing key areas that require management attention.
     

    • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)

    Collaborate with the procurement team and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all vendors meeting TPRM criteria are reviewed and assessed accordingly.
    Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly TPRM reports, summarizing completed assessments and identified risks.
    Track and follow up on identified risks with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
     

    • Reporting and Communication

    Develop, produce, and deliver regular reports to various stakeholders, including the CISO and executive leadership, summarizing risk trends, KPIs, and third-party risks.
    Support the Risk Management team in creating ad-hoc reports and presentations as requested.
    Ensure clear and concise communication of risk exceptions, risks, and recommendations.
    Maintain strong working relationships with individuals and groups involved in managing cybersecurity risks across the organization. 

      Your Profile

      Education, Training and Previous Experience

      Candidates will be evaluated primarily on their ability to demonstrate the competencies required to be successful in the role, as described above. For reference, the typical work experience and educational background of candidates in this role are as follows:

      • Bachelor's degree in information security, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

        The i2CAT Foundation (Barcelona) is opening a position to advance in the research and innovation field of high quality 3D reconstruction, both offline and in real-time.

        The candidate will join i2CAT’s Media Tech group, which is composed of over 20 experienced researchers and engineers in the fields of distributed and interactive multimedia systems and media processing, and is involved in relevant R&I projects with the European and national ecosystems, in close collaboration with key players from academia and industry.

        This area is seeking a Senior Research Engineer with experience in the application of Machine Learning techniques applied to 3D/Volumetric reconstruction. The ideal candidate should have experience with different ML architectures and frameworks used in the field of Computer Vision and 3D reconstruction. The candidate should also be highly knowledgeable in pinhole camera modeling and parameterization. . Additionally, having experience in GPU programming is a plus (e.g.: CUDA/OpenCL). The candidate will be involved in cutting-edge research, innovation and development tasks.         Finance Controlling

        • Responsible for the timely and accurate month-end and year-end accounting close process in line with group requirements and timetables for all legal entities.
        • Continuously maintain and improve financial controls for the ES Divisions.
        • Oversee the financial control of the company's assets, including inventory, ensuring appropriate checks, reconciliations, and corrective actions when needed.
