JOB DESCRIPTION

Escofet by Molins transforms cities and enhances the use of public spaces through the design and industrialization of urban elements and architectural concrete. We are closely linked to Barcelona, but we project our Mediterranean character internationally, present in avenues, parks, streets, and squares around the world.

We contribute to comprehensive urban design projects, creating urban landscapes through our activity lines: Urban Life (urban elements), Lighting (public lighting), Walking (pavements), and Building (architectural concrete).

We are currently seeking a motivated and qualified US Director for the Urban Landscape business, located in Oklahoma, under the Escofet brand, which transforms cities and promotes the use of public space through the design and industrialization of urban elements and architectural concrete. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Escofet.

WHAT WILL YOUR DUTIES BE?

Among other main responsabilities, we highlight the following:

Factory Creation Project Management:

  • Coordination and Supervision: Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of the factory construction project, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, environmental standards, and local regulations.
  • Detailed Planning: Collaborate in the creation of a detailed construction plan, including timelines and estimated costs.
  • Budget Management: Manage the assigned budget (Capex of $5 million), ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Supplier and Contractor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Periodic Reporting: Report to Escofet's General Management, providing periodic updates on project progress, budgetary and timeline deviations, identified issues, and implemented corrective actions.

Factory Commissioning and Management:

  • Hiring and Supervising Personnel: Hire and supervise the necessary personnel for factory operations, with an initial team of 10 workers growing to 30-40 workers within two years.
  • Operational Procedures: Establish and maintain efficient and safe operational procedures in accordance with Escofet's General Management guidelines.
  • Maintenance Management: Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities and machinery.
  • Health and Safety Policies: Implement health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Technical Guidelines: Follow technical instructions and guidelines provided by the headquarters in Spain for product manufacturing.
  • Production Supervision: Oversee and coordinate daily production, ensuring that production targets in terms of volume, quality, and delivery schedules set by the headquarters are met.
  • Materials Management: Ensure the availability and efficient flow of materials required for manufacturing, supervise inventory levels, and coordinate the receipt and storage of materials in the factory.
  • Quality Audits: Participate in internal and external quality and regulatory compliance audits, taking corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

We are looking for a self-driven and committed Scientific Manager to join the Palliative Care and Chronic Complex Patients research group of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu to provide daily scientific, technical and managerial support to the group.

The Palliative Care and Chronic Complex Patient research group at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu provides ongoing comprehensive care to children with severe diseases who likely will not reach adulthood, as well as to their families. The team's goal is to provide physical, social, emotional and spiritual support to the patients and their families.

Amongst other projects, the Palliative Care and Chronic Complex Patient research group is leading the European funded project HOME-C2P2 (THCS - transforming Healthcare system), an interdisciplinary project aiming to optimise coordination between primary and specialist care to improve home care for children with complex chronic conditions using technology that is tailored to their needs.

Sant Joan de Déu Research Foundation is hiring a Scientific Manager to join the Palliative Care and Chronic Complex Patient research group. The candidate will be integrated in the research group to provide daily technical and managerial support to the group. He/she shall be responsible for the effective implementation of the assigned projects ranging from Health to Social field, including the HOME-C2P2 project (and other projects of the group’s portfolio).

The person we are looking for must be proactive, responsible, flexible, empathic and service-oriented, and should be comfortable working on long-term strategic plans as well as day-to-day project management tasks.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Research group management:

  • Providing daily administrative, technical and scientific support to the group,
  • Performing bibliographic searches,
  • Writing scientific papers,
  • Preparing abstracts, posters and presentations for congresses and conferences,
  • Preparing documentation for ethical committees and regulatory bodies,
  • Providing support in the strategic planning of the group’s research lines,
  • Providing support in the analysis of the group’s scientific results, including data bases, qualitative data, etc,
  • Providing support in the design of clinical studies, data collection…
  • Organizing, participating and writing minutes of the group’s meetings.
  • Providing support in the preparation of proposals for competitive calls, including writing scientific parts of the proposal, communicating with partners, in collaboration with the Pre-Award team at FSJD.
  • Liaise with pre-award team to identify networks, actions, and initiatives that present strategic opportunities for both the Institution and its researchers and attend conferences, information sessions, networking events to promote the group's interests.
  • Contribute to enhancing the group's position within Europe. Advocate for the group's interests at lobby and networking events.

Project Management:

  • General coordination of the HOME-C2P2 project,
  • Interface between the project coordinator and internal team/partners or external stakeholders, traduce coordinator’s decision making toward actions,
  • Coordination of day to day internal scientific/technical work according to work plan and coordinator’s orientations,
  • Coordination of Work package where the research group is leader, organization of meetings, collecting documents, writing activity reports and deliverables where the group is responsible,
  • Preparation of agendas and presentations for project meetings and related committees (advisory board, external experts…) participation in meeting, draft minutes, chair meetings,
  • Elaboration of a Data Management Plan and DPIA. Data management plan follow up. Monitoring of data protection compliance,
  • Monitoring of ethical regulatory process and compliance.
  • Gantt chart follow up, management of timeline and deadlines,
  • Daily management activities, organization of meetings and events linked to the project, administrative tasks, economic follow-up, looking for providers and quotes.

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Security Risk Exceptions Management

    Log and track proposed security risk exceptions in the risk management tool.

      Education, Training and Previous Experience

      The i2CAT Foundation (Barcelona) is opening a position to advance in the research and innovation field of high quality 3D reconstruction, both offline and in real-time.

      The candidate will join i2CAT’s Media Tech group, which is composed of over 20 experienced researchers and engineers in the fields of distributed and interactive multimedia systems and media processing, and is involved in relevant R&I projects with the European and national ecosystems, in close collaboration with key players from academia and industry.

      This area is seeking a Senior Research Engineer with experience in the application of Machine Learning techniques applied to 3D/Volumetric reconstruction. The ideal candidate should have experience with different ML architectures and frameworks used in the field of Computer Vision and 3D reconstruction. The candidate should also be highly knowledgeable in pinhole camera modeling and parameterization. . Additionally, having experience in GPU programming is a plus (e.g.: CUDA/OpenCL). The candidate will be involved in cutting-edge research, innovation and development tasks. In particular, the candidate in charge of building custom datasets, designing and testing new algorithms and solutions in the field of 3D reconstruction and integrating the developed solutions into our platform.

      The candidate should be highly self-driven while also capable of seamlessly collaborating hand-in-hand with different experts within i2CAT and highly relevant international partners from academia and industry under the umbrella of competitive national and international projects (Horizon Europe, European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking, SNS JU).

      • A completed degree in IT or business administration, technical environment, or an equivalent training / experience
      • Experience in an engineering / technology role, ideally in agile product environments / teams
      • Excellent knowledge of modern SAP development processes and frameworks (OnPremise, Cloud & Hybrid)
      • Well-founded experience with SAP platforms, ideally SAP HR and very good technology knowledge in ABAP / OO, FIORI, UI5, BAS on BTP, OData in a hybrid SAP landscape
      • Experience working in agile product teams, DevOps methods and continuous delivery with a focus on optimizing customer benefits
      • Passion for current trends in software design, architecture / web services
      • Experience in promoting and coaching colleagues
      • Very good written and spoken English skills

       

      Your Tasks

      These are the main tasks:

      • Development and optimization of complex, tailor-made SAP HR solutions to support all HR processes based on SAP HR ECC 6.0 EhP 8 and in future H4/S4
      • Definition and implementation of integration scenarios in a hybrid SAP system landscape with the help of modern integration tools such as SAP PI / PO, Cloud Integration Suite on BTP, API etc.
      • Development of backend and frontend components with the help of modern SAP development tools (SAP FIORI, UI5, BAS on BTP) and classic SAP development methods (ABAP, ABAP OO, WD4A)
      • Drafting and detailing of automation solutions for the realization of process optimization potential
      • Advice / coaching of colleagues in solving technical problems at the operational level and with regard to working methods in order to improve development processes

      The project!

      As a Footwear Designer you will handle the development of the new collections on the scheduled timings, with the aim to create on-trend collections for me British menswear brand. The position is for our Hackett Brand,with a strong focus on exceptionally designed shoes suitable for both formal and casual occasions.

      What will the role entail?:

      • Design, planning and management of the collections.
      • Analysis of global trends product strategy depending on range plan, concepts and calendar.
      • Development of the technical specs.
      • Review and follow up the prototypes.
      • Communication with suppliers.
