RavenPack is searching for a Senior Quantitative Researcher to join the Data Science - QIS Team at our Spanish headquarters, Marbella. We offer competitive compensation, active mentoring, exposure to the top trading firms, and a fun working environment. Relocation assistance is available.

As a Senior Quant Researcher, you will be participating in the development of new systematic trading strategies, as well as showcasing the value of our data for trading and investment purposes across equities mostly and time horizons.

The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. European legal working status is required.


Your Responsibilities:

As a Senior Quant Researcher, you will join the “Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) Team,” consisting of four quant researchers dedicated to feature engineering and developing systematic trading strategies. Your work will primarily involve bottom-up research, with some top-down research opportunities. You will create white papers to enhance RavenPack’s reputation as a thought leader in the alternative data industry and present trading strategies to quantitative analysts. You will independently work on practical use cases that demonstrate the value of RavenPack data. Additionally, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, validating, and amplifying predictive signals within our data while discerning and filtering out irrelevant information.

  • Formulating systematic trading strategies spanning multiple asset classes with a major focus on equities, enriching security-selection capabilities with Alternative Data across different holding periods.

  • Offering data-driven insights, engaging in discussions about your research, and presenting trading strategies to leading quantitative researchers and portfolio managers in the field.

  • Effectively communicating intricate analytical concepts to management in a clear and concise manner.

What We're Looking For:

  • A PhD/MSc in Quantitative or Computational Finance, or from any related fields including Machine Learning, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, etc.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as a quantitative researcher, manipulating large and noisy alternative datasets for features engineering, signal amplification, and portfolio backtesting.

  • Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to develop original research and hypothesis testing.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least Python and SQL.

  • Strong enthusiasm for technology, and familiarity with big data technologies coupled with proficiency in machine learning is highly advantageous.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a MLOps Engineer to join a team responsible for building and maintaining the entire ML infrastructure. Taking offline models and turn them into real production systems will be one of the main activities. In addition, designing and developing comprehensive test and monitoring strategies will be also required. The candidate must have all the technical skills for implementing and maintaining the infrastructure in the cloud. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in MLOps/DevOps or software automation projects and the ability to understand complex software solutions. The candidate will have experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering, designing CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, monitoring ML models performance, and supporting production systems.

The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union's legal working status is required.

About you

We want you to be a software passionate, with a strong technical background. You will be facing awesome challenges by covering all the ML development lifecycle stages and using the latest technologies for it.


How will you do it?

First month

The onboarding process starts.. You will be having scheduled meetings with the main stakeholders of the different teams in order to get an overall understanding about all company’s products and specifically focused on the projects you will be working on. You will start participating in the scrum ceremonies and also reviewing the actual ML processes and infrastructure.

After 3 months

Now you are able to start contributing to the ongoing work related to existing ML infrastructure and start collaborating closely with QAs, ML, and DevOps engineers. Since now you have the overall view of the products and the tech stack, you can propose new initiatives and strategies and start working on them.

6 months in

Now you are fully aware of all the company products and ongoing projects and you have the know-how to work with them. You became a key member of the team and you are contributing successfully to the different ML development phases. You are creating comprehensive deployment and monitoring strategies in a CI/CD environment. Also, you are able to provide guidance about good practices and collaborate with different teams.


Requirements:

  • Experience in applying software engineering concepts and best practices to the entire machine learning development lifecycle including deployments and monitoring of the ML models in production environments.

  • Experience in implementing and optimizing data pipelines for the ML workflows.

  • Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD strategies (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, Azure, Vertex).

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and understanding of machine learning concepts.

  • Proficiency in Python and knowledge in Scripting languages.

  • Database knowledge: SQL and NoSQL.

  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Necessary skills to perform root cause analysis when defects occur.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

We're seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our r dynamic EMEA team and drive sales, prospecting, business development and opportunities of RavenPack's industry-leading GenAI and SaaS services. Misión del puesto: Atender a los/as residentes en sus necesidades básicas del día a día con un acompañamiento emocional comprensivo y cariñoso, procurando en todo momento su bienestar. Funciones: * Cumplimiento de la ruta de trabajo según el protocolo de cuidados a residentes estipulado por el/la Coordinador/a de Enfermería (cambios de postura, higiene diaria, etc). * Ayudar al/a la usuario/a en su autonomía personal y en su inserción en la vida social del centro. * Dar de comer a aquellos/as residentes que no puedan hacerlo por sí mismos y supervisar la autoalimentación de los que pueden. Servir desayunos, comidas, meriendas y/o cenas según le sea indicado por su superior/a. * Responsabilizarse de la correcta hidratación de los/as residentes en todo momento. * Hacer las camas de los/as residentes, así como recoger la ropa de las habitaciones. * Administrar aquella medicación oral a los/as residentes que le sea indicada por enfermería.
