Nuestro cliente es una gran multinacional con plantas productivas en 16 paises.

Para la filial en España, ubicada cerca de Montmeló, necesitamos reforzar la estructura con un/a Ingeniero de Software.

Formando parte del departamento de I+D, la persona realizará tareas de desarrollo de firmware en lenguaje de programación C para microcontroladores, así como el seguimiento y evolución de proyectos en desarrollo.
La persona se integrará en un equipo de desarrollo software dinámico, poco jerarquizado, en el que pueda explotar sus cualidades y tener una evolución profesional continuada en un entorno de “Mass Production” electrónico.
El tipo de firmware a desarrollar es cercano al hardware de microcontrolador y requiere que la persona tenga conocimientos asentados de electrónica. Esto le permite alcanzar un conocimiento global de la aplicación, no solamente restringido al software.
Mas que experiencia en desarrollo software, buscamos un perfil que pueda encajar en el equipo de software y evolucionar dentro del departamento.

La Dirección de Procesos de Payments & Consumer está compuesta por un equipo multidisciplinario con conocimiento de todos los ámbitos relacionados con las funciones de negocio, gestión y soporte de la Entidad. Esto incluye actividades operativas, productos y servicios de los diferentes segmentos, así como las infraestructuras tecnológicas y organizativas que los respaldan.

La incorporación a la Dirección de Procesos te aportará una visión transversal del funcionamiento y operativa del grupo CPC, junto con la oportunidad de participar en una amplia variedad de proyectos transversales. Estos implican una relación directa con diferentes áreas de negocio, riesgos y tecnología, trabajando con diversas metodologías (Agile, PMP, Design Thinking, etc.).

¿En qué proyectos trabajarás?

La Dirección de Procesos de Payments & Consumer es una Unidad de la Dirección de Medios que trabaja en la optimización y transformación de procesos dentro de ámbitos clave como Negocios, Regulatorio, Financiero, Riesgos, Soporte y Operaciones. Sus principales funciones incluyen:

  • Gestor de proyectos y procesos: Se busca un perfil híbrido con capacidad para gestionar proyectos y, al mismo tiempo, tener conocimientos técnicos de IT y visión de negocio. Debe ser capaz de interpretar necesidades del negocio y traducirlas en soluciones tecnológicas eficientes.
  • Implementación de motores de procesos: Experiencia demostrable en la implementación de motores de procesos (Camunda, Appian, IBM u otras herramientas BPM). Se espera que el candidato tenga conocimientos de trazabilidad y optimización de procesos end-to-end.
  • Diseño y mejora de procesos: Más allá de hacer procesos más eficientes, el rol requiere desarrollar soluciones integrales que aseguren la fluidez operativa y la automatización.
  • Aplicación de nuevas tecnologías: Incorporar herramientas avanzadas como IA y capacidades cognitivas para la optimización de procesos.
  • Liderazgo en proyectos estratégicos: Definir, desarrollar y ejecutar proyectos en el marco de la transformación digital, la optimización y la digitalización de procesos.

Misión del puesto

El Process Engineering Project Manager será responsable de analizar y rediseñar procesos, incorporando metodologías, mejores prácticas y estándares para garantizar:

La Fundació Sant Joan de Déu precisa incorporar un perfil a tiempo parcial para la elaboración de protocolos y recomendaciones basadas en la evidencia generada por el proyecto centrado en los Episodios stroke-like en una enfermedad rara: la deficiencia de PMM2-CDG.

La persona contratada deberá elaborar los mismos y encargarse de la difusión y adecuación de contenidos para familias y afectados, así como para clínicos. Se encargarña de desarrollar una web como repositorio para los diferentes agentes de interés. La posición requiere el contacto con asociaciones de pacientes y con clínicos a nivel mundial.

Funciones principales:

  • La generación y elaboración de contenidos para familiares y pacientes y para personal sanitario (con sus diferentes niveles de Health-literacy)
  • Discusión y elaboración del protocolo de estudio y de manejo con los expertos y referentes, incorporando la experiencia acumulada y las evidencias de nuestro estudio.
  • Elaboración e incorporación a la web de un algoritmo de toma de decisiones de consenso.
  • Elaboración de un mapa de centros expertos a nivel europeo para la web.

Researcher in Printed Health and Environmental Sensors

The Functional Printing & Embedded Devices Unit develops innovative solutions based on functional materials and devices.

This Unit has the knowledge and experience to contribute from research concepts to prototyping and manufacturing. The Unit can cover the entire TRL chain, from the conceptualization of the idea to prototype validation, including design, proof of concept, material analysis, processes, prototyping, and characterization.

The specialization areas of the Unit include the formulation of functional inks, printing and coating processes for lightweight and flexible devices, their characterization, and in terms of electronics, the design, development, and manufacturing of conventional PCB electronics and hybrid electronics.

The team is looking for a researcher to support the development of printed sensors for health and environmental monitoring applications

Some of the projects incluede:

• Development and validation of electrochemical sensors and Point-Of-Care devices for measuring different biomarkers in medical applications.
• Development of Lab-On-Chip devices for measuring different parameters in water.
• Development of piezoelectric devices for health and structural integrity applications.

The candidate will work on the development of printed electronics-based sensors for flexible device applications and their integration into miniaturized microfluidic systems.

Tasks include:

  • Study of the most advanced technologies.
  • Design and fabrication of monitoring platforms based on printed sensors combined with microfluidic chips.

Call for Applications: FI-STEP Predoctoral Fellowships at i2CAT

i2CAT is seeking European-nationality researchers with an excellent academic record to apply for an FI-STEP predoctoral fellowship funded by AGAUR (Agency for Management of University and Research Grants). AGAUR will finance 250 predoctoral contracts, each with a duration of three years.

We are looking for talented and motivated candidates who wish to develop a research career in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Candidate requirements:

a) Must hold the nationality of an EU member state.
b) Must have completed a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification and have a minimum average academic grade of 7 (on a scale of 0 to 10).
c) Candidates applying for a new fellowship must have completed their studies leading to a PhD (MsC or equivalent) between January 1st, 2022, and the contract start date.

Candidates who completed their PhD-related studies between January 1, 2019, and the contract start date may also apply if they have encountered one of the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Engaged in work directly related to their studies for a continuous period of at least 12 months.
  • Took parental leave (maternity or paternity).
  • Had dependent children under six years old.
  • Were responsible for individuals with a legally recognized physical, mental, or sensory disability.
  • Suffered from a severe illness or accident requiring major surgery or hospital treatment leading to temporary incapacity for at least six continuous months.
  • Experienced any of the situations outlined in Article 1 of Spain’s Organic Law 1/2004 of December 28 on comprehensive protection measures against gender-based violence.
  • Have recognized refugee status under the 1951 Geneva Convention.

d) At the time of starting the contract, candidates must be accepted or enrolled in a PhD program at a university within the Catalan university system, according to each university’s enrollment schedule.

What will the selection process be like?

Enrollment in i2CAT’s PhD Program follows the OTM-R (Open, Transparent, and Merit-based Recruitment) principles, as outlined by the European Commission’s HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers).

The selection criteria for the PhD Program are based on the following principles:

  • Motivation Letter/Statement of Purpose: Applicants must submit a detailed letter explaining their academic and research background, along with a research statement outlining their reasons for pursuing this specific PhD program (maximum 2 pages).
  • Eligibility: Candidates must meet the minimum requirements for enrollment in a university PhD program, holding at least an MSc degree (or equivalent). Candidates who have been enrolled in a PhD program for more than six months at the time of application are not eligible to apply.

Director of the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research Group

The i2CAT Foundation is looking for a Director of the Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) Research Group who, in addition, will lead the overall strategy of the organization in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The DAI research group conducts research and innovation activities in the areas of explainable and distributed AI, multimodal AI perception, and cognitive cloud. The group has a long track record of participation in EU R&D projects, Catalan and Spanish-funded research and innovation projects, and bilateral collaborations with private industry and the public sector. The research group develops and continuously updates a research roadmap to steer its activities and identify new fields to explore. One of the key added values of the DAI research group is its mission to boost the overall capabilities of i2CAT in the area of AI, fostering synergies with the organization’s other 8 research groups.

In a nutshell, the activity of i2CAT is focused on the following research areas:

  • 5G/6G mobile telecommunication networks
  • Non-terrestrial communications (satellite communications)
  • Internet of Things
  • Cybersecurity
  • Immersive Technologies
  • Techno-Social Research and Innovation

All these areas of research are progressively incorporating the use of AI into their design and application. The selected person will define a strategy and coordinate all AI-related research and innovation, both with the purpose of identifying synergies across research groups, thus increasing the transversal value proposition of i2CAT, as well as defining a long-term vision of the value of i2CAT in the field of AI.

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Lead the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research Group of i2CAT, consisting of 22 researchers/engineers working in 3 research lines.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the overall strategic objectives of i2CAT, which aim at scientific and technological excellence, as well as the generation of impact on technology, economy and society.
  • Define the strategy in the area of AI for the entire organization, ensuring smooth coordination across teams in different research groups.
  • Become a reference person in the area of AI for i2CAT, participating in meetings with key stakeholders and public events.
  • Develop the professional career of the DAI research group team members.
  • Define/Update/maintain a research & innovation roadmap of the area with the validation of the Director of Research and Development, Director of Innovation, and Director of Business Development of i2CAT.
  • Foster the cross-collaboration with other research and innovation groups of i2CAT to tackle multi-technological problems and challenges.
  • Manage the resource planning for R&D and innovation in the different research lines of the research group.
  • Secure funding for the DAI research group: foster research & innovation ideas within the team and identify relevant public funding programmes (e.g. Horizon Europe) for proposal development/submission.
  • Build and maintain a network of key people and organisations with whom establishing long-lasting and impact-oriented collaborations in coordination with the business development areas of i2CAT.
  • Coordinate the definition of technological assets with the Director of Technology and Director of Innovation aiming at impact generation through the licensing of IPR or the generation of spin-offs.
  • Identify and plan the strategy for the participation of DAI research group members in relevant scientific Working Groups to ensure continuous scientific/technological watch to stay up-to-date on cutting edge research problems/topics.
  • Contribute to the communication activities of i2CAT, by providing guidance on the contents and audience targets for the different activities and outcomes of the activity of the area.

Innovation Manager for Data Ecosystems

i2CAT Foundation is looking for an Innovation Manager with at least 3+ years of recent experience in IT innovation consulting and management to join its growing “Data Spaces” team. Data Spaces are the new EU data sharing and digital service ecosystems in development for strategic verticals, such as Mobility, Health and Industry.

i2CAT is a leader in the field of data spaces, coordinating strategic initiatives and participating in many more. Examples where the new position will be working in:

  • The Data Space Demonstration Centre in Catalonia, in coordination with the Generalitat de Catalunya. The initiative works with public and private sector actors in Mobility, Health and Industry to identify, design and implement use cases, acting as demonstrators for developing scalable data ecosystems. This requires extensive work with a variety of local Catalan clusters, and engagement with stakeholders (companies and administrations) to understand the data sharing technology and standards applied to their business and strategy goals, and support them during the lifecycle of implementing their use cases (individual projects).
  • European Mobility Data Space, a large EC co-funded initiative, where i2CAT is coordinating the implementation of pilots in Barcelona (1 of 9 EU regions participating in the project). The overall project is developing, deploying and piloting a data and service ecosystem for Europe’s future mobility. Use cases involve both the public and private sectors in areas such as public transport and traffic optimization.
  • Various local, national and EU forums and working groups, such as International Data Space Association, Gaia-X and Big Data Value Association. These groups are advancing data spaces with aspects complimentary to their technical state of the art and implementation (e.g. use case definition, business and governance models, etc) in various verticals.

i2CAT’s data space team has a holistic role in these projects: coordination, technical architecture design, development, implementation, use case piloting, evolution of IP, ecosystem engagement, development of new opportunities, and more. This position will require a mix of consulting, innovation project management, opportunity development and ecosystem engagement.

The position will carry out a variety of different activities, requiring agility and flexibility across the lifecycle of innovation projects:

  • Work with public and private sector clients and partners across various verticals (e.g. mobility, industry, digital health) to define technological solutions to their challenges in secure data exchange within B2B and G2B ecosystems. This will be done in collaboration with the team’s technical experts.
  • Engage local, national and EU companies, administrations and institutions to help them understand how these data and service ecosystems (“data spaces”) can resolve business and technical challenges, as well as create new opportunities. This engagement is done through participation in events, workshops, forums and 1:1 meetings.
  • Support the technical coordination of use case implementation pilots in a variety of verticals, such as mobility, health and industry. Pilots include a mix of data providers, service providers and technology partners. This will be done in collaboration with the team’s engineers and i2CAT’s project managers, and requires the candidate to prioritize and monitor the business and technical goals of the project with these external partners.
  • Actively participate in various local, national and EU working groups focused on data space topics complementary to the technical standards: business models, governance models, product/service development, ecosystem development, etc.
  • Work with potential project partners across Europe to develop competitive proposals for funded projects in these topics (e.g. Horizon Europe).
  • Develop new project opportunities with partners and clients (companies and administrations), in collaboration with i2CAT business developers for the private and public sectors.

Main purpose of the job
• Writing new proposals to apply for new funding opportunities.
• Writing reports for funders for the on-going research projects.
• Producing technical reports for the on-going international research projects.

• Write in clear, concise and accurate language that can be understood by the general public.

The position will be under the supervision of the Academic Director, Prof. Fabrizio Ferraro, and focus primarily on collaborating on several research projects on the following topics: ESG Investing, Impact Investing, Shareholder Engagement, Political Ideology and ESG corporate behavior, Corporate Purpose and Carbon Emissions.

This is a great opportunity to engage directly with high-quality academic research with a focus on sustainability. The position might be especially appropriate for candidates interested in pursuing academic careers in related areas and proceeding to do a PhD in Business Schools with a focus on Strategy, Organization Theory, and Sustainability.

Reportando a la Manager, este Project Leader tendrá asignadas las siguientes funciones:

  • Gestión y desarrollo de proyectos dentro del ámbito de Planta Piloto, incluyendo las fases de estudio de escalado de proceso, así como la validación del mismo con fines regulatorios. Los proyectos en desarrollo bajo su responsabilidad será formas estériles, así como formas orales sólidas.
  • Colaborar con el resto de personal del equipo de un proyecto (Desarrollo Farmacéutico, Desarrollo Analítico, Dirección Técnica, Registros, …) en las fases de desarrollo donde implique transferencia asegurándose el buen trasvase de know how.
  • Responsabilizarse técnicamente del lanzamiento comercial del producto desarrollado una vez el medicamento ya está aprobado, elaborando la documentación precisa que soporte las transferencias de los proyectos en desarrollo.
  • Apoyar en el desarrollo de los procesos necesarios para la ejecución del proyecto: cualificación de instalaciones y equipos, sistemas, procesos, estudios de estabilidad, preformulación, formulación, etc...
  • Participar en las trasferencias de procesos de escalado tanto desde el laboratorio de desarrollo galénico a Planta Piloto como desde Planta Piloto a la planta industrial.
  • Proponer mejoras en las áreas y/o actividades bajo su responsabilidad.
  • Coordinar de forma diligente y eficiente con el resto de áreas y departamentos implicados en el desarrollo de los proyectos, especialmente: Desarrollo Farmacéutico, Desarrollo Analítico, Garantía de Calidad, Supply Chain y Fabricación.
  • Organizar y dirigir de forma eficiente los recursos asignados a los proyectos para la consecución de los objetivos

The candidate will join the Media Technologies Research Group (MediaTech) of i2CAT, which is composed of over 18 experienced researchers and engineers in the fields of distributed and interactive multimedia systems and media processing, and is involved in relevant R&I projects with the European and national ecosystems, in close collaboration with key players from academia and industry.

This area is seeking a highly motivated and talented Graphics Engineer with Expertise in Unity to join our development team. The ideal candidate should not only have a strong background in C++, CUDA and Unity. Additionally, having experience in Android development and working on the maintenance of a Unity SDK would be a significant plus. The candidate will be in charge of maintaining and improving the Holoconference Unity SDK called HoloMIT, implementing new features, integrating in-house new Holographic pipelines and optimizations.

Moreover, the candidate will be involved in cutting-edge research, innovation and development tasks. All this R&I&D will shape the future of HoloMIT, collaborating hand-in-hand with experts in the media and networks domains under the umbrella of competitive national and international projects (Horizon Europe, European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking, SNS JU), including the collaboration with highly relevant international partners from academia and industry.
